This activity follows on from *Ed and Bunny Raise Some Money* and should be completed after reading the storybook, which is available as an eBook in the related resources section.

Ed and Bunny’s money-raising efforts have helped their school do their bit for the environment and now the school will save money using their free energy. Their teacher, Mrs Fox, said that simple things could also help. This activity will help your child learn ways in which they can help their planet and how these simple things are closely linked to saving money at home. Giving your child the opportunity to make choices about how these savings might be used allows them to practise making important money decisions.

This activity is part of our range of Money Heroes resources for children with special educational needs.

These resources have been adapted to be flexible for use in a range of settings and with children of varying abilities or special educational needs. Rather than using age groups or key stages, each activity has been given a difficulty level, based on children’s financial knowledge, skills and understanding. Practitioners should choose activities based on the financial capability level of the children they are working with.

This is an **intermediate** level activity – this level suits children who have some financial education knowledge and are beginning to understand simple financial concepts such as spending and saving.
